Somehow, I Don't Think
Going out to a Mexican restaurant last night can be counted as "Spanish Conversation" (which is the one subject we missed during school yesterday)!
Another Grace Livingstone Hill completed last night. A friend passed along 6. One has been a keeper, for sure- "Not Under the Law". Last night's, "Exit Betty", will soon be on PaperBackSwap.
The kiddos chose to do double schoolwork yesterday, and take today off. Good time to tackle the Girls' Winter Clothes box, I suppose, after #3's flag football game this morning.
Last night's planned casserole (colcannon, and Irish potato-cabbage-cheese melange) will serve as today's lunch, and Saturday dinner is always something simple- hot dogs and fries and salad, this week. Wow! That pretty much counts as a Day Off, eh? ;)

Is that at Sonrise? One of my children is playing flag football there to for the first time. She is number 3 if you count the order we got our kids in, but number 4 if you are going by age.
HOW do you get kids to CHOOSE to do double schoolwork? I only have one who will do that, and he's 16.
OK, OK, I showed them a smallish pile of papers (math, history, spelling, book report) and told them if they finished it they could have the next day off. Truly, I think #2 persuaded the others simply through her enthusiasm!
Flag is at Orchard Hills this time. We liked Sonrise, but live just 2 miles from Orchard Hills. It's small, but the people are just as great and #3 is learning a lot.
We're praying for you!
